Allen Kaye, the owner of the law firm
that handled my husband's immigration case has been evasive throughout the 28 years that Senator Uzamere and I have been
married. Ever since I marshalled the courage to question him, his responses have not been forthright, nor has he made
any attempts to disprove my allegations by providing a copy of the relative sponsorship form I signed when I sponsored my
husband.
Here are a few examples
of Mr. Kaye's discrepancies:
July
22, 2003 -- Mr. Kaye responds to complaint; states that "I do not know whether I ever represented Ehigie
E. Uzamere and even if I did I did not commit immigration fraud."
Mr. Kaye's statement is contradictory.
How can he say that he did not commit immigration fraud if he did not remember working on the case???
Discrepancy.
May 2008 -- According
to Robin Womack of the New York State Attorney General's office that he "might have handled the case.
I "might have" is a little bit
different from "I do not know whether I ever" worked on my husband's case.
Another discrepancy.
June 1, 2008 -- At the ILW.com discussion
board, cyberposter JermCool posts a comment made by Allen Kaye in which he said the following about me: "There
are heavy overtones of anti-semitism in her writings which you may not have seen...I may contact ILW about this also."
June 1, 2008 --
At an ILW.com discussion board, cyberposter "JermCool states: "...Allen Kaye had nothing to do with this immigration
case. It was Harvey Shapiro who used to work for Mr. Kaye's law firm that allegedly took this case. Mr Shapiro no longer
works for Allen Kaye and has started his own practice."
Yet another discrepancy.
Rundown of Mr. Kaye's Discrepancies:
1) "I
don't know whether I ever work on Ehigie E. Uzamere's immigration case"; to
2) "I might
have worked on Ehigie Uzamere's case"; to
3) "(I) had nothing to do with this immigration case";
to
4) "Harvey Shapiro who used to work for Mr. Kaye's law firm that allegedly took this
case."
5) "There are heavy overtones of anti-semitism in her writings which you may not have
seen...I may contact ILW about this also."
Mr. Kaye's Outright Lies:
1) Which of my writings has "heavy overtones
of anti-Semitism?
2) Why did Mr. Kaye not produce proof of those "anti-Semitic writings to JermCool?
3) Has Mr. Kaye contacted ILW.com as he claimed he would?
4) What does anti-Semitism have to
do with anything? Even if I were an anti-Semitic, I have a right to my own private thoughts. Having personal
feeling of hate toward any person that has a physiological characteristic is not a violation of federal law.
Assisting an individual in hiding a fictitious identity is.
A attorney's
ability to succeed in the discipline of law is absolutely contingent on one thing: MEMORY. Attorneys must remember
statutes, appeals, case law, whether a law was repealed, if there are updates to specific laws, decisions -- both agreeing
and dissenting, as well as other aspects of the law in order to provide their clients with top-notch legal services.
Further to this, attorneys must remember the clients they served to avoid possible conflicts of interest. How can a
good attorney convince potential clients how good he/she is at legal representation if he/she cannot even remember a case or
doesn't keep a running list of the cases he/she has done and the clients he/she has represented?
Furthermore, what type of
representation did Mr. Kaye provide Senator Uzamere that is so distasteful for him to publicly reveal that he would create the
societal, but not legal "smoke screen" of anti-Semitism to divert negtive attention onto me and away
from himself? Can it be that Mr. Kaye has learned the hard way that sometimes the wickedness one does has a funny way
of parking itself right at one's doorsteps?
Mr. Kaye's responses have too many discrepancies, discrepancies that can only be alleviated by the intense
scrutiny of an honest, unbiased, uncompromised judge.
One well-placed lawsuit to federal court will reveal
alleviate all Mr. Kaye's discrepancies.
